Coweta County residents should prepare for a combination of dangerous heat and the potential for severe thunderstorms through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service and local emergency management officials. The Storm Prediction Center has placed much of north and northwest Georgia, including Coweta County, under a Slight Risk, or Level 2 of 5, for severe weather Wednesday afternoon and evening.
