Coweta Schools Approves Budget Amid Summer Program Launch

The Coweta County Board of Education has formally adopted an operational budget totaling $324,789,568 for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. This approval came during a called meeting on Tuesday, according to the Times-Herald.

This financial plan for fiscal year 2027, which runs from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, guides the district's operations, including instruction, pupil services, and maintenance. Funding for the district primarily comes from state revenues and local property taxes, with a current millage rate of 15.00.

In parallel with the budget finalization, the Coweta County School System (CCSS) has also launched a new Summer Feeding Pilot Program.
