FedEx moves into former Stanton Optical space at Peachtree City's McIntosh Village

FedEx is moving into the former Stanton Optical storefront at McIntosh Village, the Highway 54 power center in Peachtree City — and the work to get it ready is already well underway.
According to The City Menus, reporters stopped by the location and found a construction permit posted at the storefront and interior renovation work in progress. Workers on site confirmed FedEx as the incoming tenant.
No official opening date has been announced, and FedEx has not yet released details specific to the Peachtree City location. The store could potentially operate as a FedEx Office Print & Ship Center — a format that typically offers shipping, printing, copying, document services, and package pickup and drop-off — though that designation has not been confirmed, according to The City Menus.
The Peachtree City arrival is not an isolated move. A second FedEx location is also planned for nearby Newnan, where marketing materials for Newnan Promenade identify FedEx as the future tenant of approximately 2,500 square feet formerly occupied by Capital Tacos and, before that, Moe's Southwest Grill, according to The City Menus.
McIntosh Village opened in 2005 after a development process that Trinity Development describes as spanning three years of community outreach. The 80-acre center sits at the intersection of two major highways and is anchored by Best Buy, PetSmart, and ALDI, with restaurant tenants including Five Guys, Panda Express, Cava, and Willy's.
With permits posted and crews already inside, the project is moving forward. The City Menus says it will continue monitoring the location and report when an opening date is set.
Why it matters — Peachtree City residents will gain a dedicated FedEx retail location for shipping and business services at one of the city's main shopping hubs, with a second location also coming to nearby Newnan.
