Delta Air Lines has signed on as the title sponsor of CAF Airbase Georgia's Moonlight Swing — a 1940s-era big-band dance and dinner set for Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Commemorative Air Force hangar in Peachtree City — with proceeds earmarked for the base's growing education programs.

The announcement, made shortly after Delta marked its own 100th anniversary, appeared on the CAF Airbase Georgia Facebook page.

We couldn’t think of a better opportunity to celebrate our nation’s history and ensure that it will be carried forward for the youth of today and tomorrow.— Mark Richards, Airbase Leader

The evening will feature live music from the Peachtree Jazz Edition performing popular 1940s tunes inside the Airbase Georgia hangar, surrounded by WWII aircraft. Guests can expect a catered dinner styled to the era and a silent auction featuring warbird artwork, according to the Commemorative Air Force.

The event is also framed as part of the nation's 250th anniversary celebrations, giving the fundraiser a dual purpose: honoring a defining chapter of American history while directing money toward education programs that run from elementary through high school, with additional aviation career opportunities in the pipeline, according to commemorativeairforce.org.

Tickets and sponsorships will go on sale soon at airbasegeorgia.org, with more information expected in the coming months.

Why it matters — Delta's title sponsorship puts a major corporate backer behind an Airbase Georgia fundraiser that directly funds local youth aviation education programs still in expansion.
