Sprouts Farmers Market opens in Newnan Oct. 16, bringing 83 jobs and a three-day celebration

Coweta County is getting its first Sprouts Farmers Market on October 16, when the specialty grocer opens Store #531 at 19 Millard Farmer Industrial Blvd., Suite F, in Newnan — and the company is making the debut hard to sleep through, with a 6:45 a.m. ribbon-cutting, free long-stem roses for the first 400 customers, and a scavenger hunt running outside the store all day.
The three-day grand opening runs October 16–18. On Friday and Saturday, the first 200 in-store shoppers each day receive a free reusable tote bag while supplies last. The first 400 customers on opening day also get a free long-stem rose, courtesy of Falcon Farms Floral. A Pop-Up Party with samples and a scavenger hunt runs outside the store from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. On Sunday, October 18, the pop-up runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All giveaways are in-store only and available while supplies last, according to thecitymenus.com.
The store is located near the intersection of Millard Farmer Industrial Boulevard and Bullsboro Drive. Sprouts carries fresh produce, organic, plant-based, gluten-free, dairy-free, and keto products, and features an open layout with fresh produce at the center of the building, according to WSB-TV.
The opening creates 83 full- and part-time jobs in the community, according to WSB-TV. The company held an in-person hiring event at The Newnan Centre in early September to fill positions ranging from department managers and assistant department managers to cashiers, courtesy clerks, and specialty-department clerks across produce, meat and seafood, deli, grocery, bakery, and vitamins and body care. The Newnan store is part of a broader national expansion. Sprouts, an Arizona-based chain that opened its first location in Chandler in 2002, currently operates more than 480 stores across 25 states and is on track to open 42 new locations in 2026, according to USA TODAY. The chain's 500th location opened in The Woodlands, Texas, in September.
