Robbie and Cooper film 'Ocean's Eleven' prequel beach scenes in Saint-Tropez
On-set photos from the French Riviera show the two stars shooting a 1960s-set heist story about Danny Ocean's parents — with Cooper directing between takes.
Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper were photographed filming beach scenes for an untitled Ocean's Eleven prequel on Tuesday in Saint-Tropez, France, with Cooper stepping behind the camera to set up shots before joining Robbie in front of it.
Robbie appeared in a retro blue bikini top and matching high-waisted bottoms suited to the film's early-1960s setting — photographed standing knee-deep in the ocean, walking the shore, and between takes reading the script alongside Cooper, who wore gray and purple striped swim shorts.
The prequel centers on Danny Ocean's parents — played by Robbie and Cooper — and their attempt to pull off a heist at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix, set well before the events of the 2001 George Clooney comedy.

Robbie made those remarks at CinemaCon earlier this year, according to Variety. Cooper is not only starring in the film but also directing and co-writing it. The project is being produced by Robbie's production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, which she owns with her husband, Tom Ackerley, according to Fox News.
The supporting cast includes Academy Award-nominated actors Wagner Moura and Monica Barbaro, as well as Josh Gad, according to Fox News. The film is slated for a June 25, 2027 theatrical release, according to Just Jared.
A separate fourth installment featuring the original Ocean's cast — George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Don Cheadle, and Casey Affleck — is also in development, with filming on that project expected to begin in October, according to Just Jared.
