Nene Royal, 16, wins America's Got Talent Season 21 and its $1 million prize

Runner-up Ploeger, for his part, refused to frame the night as a loss.

Crews' return also marked a personal milestone: his eighth consecutive season as host ties him with Nick Cannon's record as the longest-serving host in the show's history, according to Wikipedia.

The finale also featured a performance by Season 20 winner Jessica Sanchez — who was pregnant when she was crowned in 2025 — teaming up with contestant Lai Noelle for a medley of 'Die On This Hill' and 'Beggin,' according to USA Today.
