Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt reunite for daughter Scottie's first Halloween in full Sopranos gear

Five months after their split, the former couple dressed as Paulie Walnuts and Christopher Moltisanti while their 10-month-old stole the show as Tony Soprano — complete with a fake cigar and a 'Bada Bing!' sign.

Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt may have broken up in May, but on Halloween they showed up together — in matching Sopranos tracksuits — to make sure their daughter Scottie's first trick-or-treat was one for the family album.

Hewitt posted a carousel of photos to Instagram on November 1, captioning it 'smells like halloween' — a punny nod to the HBO drama that anchored the whole family's costumes. At the center of every frame was Scottie, 10 months, dressed as Tony Soprano: bathrobe on, fake stuffed cigar in hand, seated in a red wagon draped with a blue blanket and surrounded by a yellow rubber ducky and stuffed animal ducks — a recreation of the late James Gandolfini's character relaxing in his jacuzzi. A light-up LED 'Bada Bing!' sign, referencing the fictional strip club from the series, was attached to the wagon.

Her parents dressed the part too. Hewitt, 30, wore a dark red tracksuit, neck brace, and dark sunglasses as Christopher Moltisanti, the character played by Michael Imperioli. Davidson, 32, went as Paulie Walnuts — track pants, leather jacket, and silver-white wings combed into his dark hair to replicate the look associated with the character played by Tony Sirico.

The Sopranos theme carried personal weight beyond the costume rack. Reports indicate the show was a bonding point during Davidson and Hewitt's relationship — Hewitt once surprised Davidson by arranging for cast members to send him a birthday video. Davidson has also expressed hopes of introducing Scottie to the series early on, emphasizing his desire for her to enjoy it as he does while prioritizing her happiness.

The Halloween reunion came roughly five months after the former couple separated. The pair had been together for a little over a year before splitting in May, with Scottie born in December 2025. A source told US Magazine at the time of the breakup that "different stressors, including having a baby together as two people who didn't yet know each other that well" had contributed to the split, and that both were "making accommodations in their schedules for the baby."

We are cooperatively co-parenting our daughter whose well-being remains our top priority, and we are fully committed to working together to give her love from both of us.— Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt, joint statement via representatives

Davidson has spoken openly about how fatherhood reordered his priorities. In a September interview with Variety, he described the moment he first saw Scottie as a turning point.

Scottie is my whole life. I was living or dying on this business and what I thought people thought of me. It was all validation and 'If I do this, then I'll do that.' But as soon as I saw her for the first time, I was like, 'Oh my God, none of this f--kin' matters at all. It's a job. If I get to do cool stuff, great; if not, cool, I get to be home more with my kid.'— Pete Davidson

Fans in the comments section of Hewitt's post responded warmly to both the costume and the public display of amicable co-parenting. One commenter, quoted by US Magazine, asked with evident delight: "I'm sorry, is her hair slicked back? I am LIVING." Another wrote simply: 'We love seeing healthy co-parenting.'

Why it matters — The Halloween reunion offers a public, good-natured example of how two separated parents are navigating co-parenting — and it went viral largely because the costumes were genuinely excellent.
