SMS / Text Messaging Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms govern text-message communications from Papalocal (a product of eWebify, LLC). Text messages are optional. You are enrolled only when you take a deliberate action to opt in — ticking the SMS box on a Papalocal form, texting an opt-in keyword to a Papalocal number, or telling a Papalocal business directly that you want texts from them. Giving us your phone number for any other reason — creating an account, verifying a login, requesting a quote, or filling in a contact form — does not enrol you in text messages. You can decline text messages and still create an account and use every part of Papalocal.

2. Program Description

Papalocal provides a software platform that enables service-businesses (cleaning, lawn care, home repair, automotive, healthcare, and similar) to communicate with their customers, prospects, employees, and partners by text message. The Papalocal SMS program is used to send:

• Appointment / visit notifications — welcome confirmations after a job is booked, "on-the-way" alerts when a technician is en route, day-before reminders, and completion notices with optional photo attachments.
• Account & security messages — one-time passcodes, phone-number verification, and account-recovery codes.
• Quote & invoice notifications — links to view a quote, sign an estimate, view an invoice, or make a payment.
• Customer support & replies — two-way conversation between a customer and the business they are doing business with.
• Referral, review, and feedback requests — requests sent after a job to ask for a review or referral, if the business has enabled that workflow.
• Hiring & team coordination — interview scheduling, shift updates, and other workforce communications for businesses that use Papalocal's hiring tools.
• Service & account alerts — billing notices, payment-failure dunning, and other transactional alerts related to your account or the businesses you interact with on Papalocal.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your activity and the businesses you interact with. A typical customer receives between 1 and 10 messages per month per business relationship. Account-security messages (one-time passcodes) are sent only when you request them.

4. Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard text-messaging rates from your mobile carrier apply to messages you send and receive. Papalocal does not charge you a per-message fee, but your carrier may. Check your mobile plan for details.

5. How to Opt In

Text messages are optional. Agreeing to them is never a condition of creating a Papalocal account, buying anything, or receiving service. You are enrolled only by a deliberate, affirmative act — one of these three:

• Ticking the SMS consent box on a Papalocal form — on our opt-in page, during account signup, or on a Papalocal-powered business's quote, booking, contact or lead-capture form. The box is never pre-ticked, and it is never required to submit the form. Leaving it unticked submits the form normally and sends you nothing.
• Texting an opt-in keyword — sending START, YES or a published keyword to a Papalocal phone number, or replying START after a previous opt-out.
• Telling a Papalocal business directly — verbally, by email, or in writing — that you want text messages from them. The business records that consent in their Papalocal account, with the date and the wording you were given.

Entering your phone number anywhere on Papalocal does not, by itself, opt you in. If you do not take one of the three actions above, we send you no appointment, service, billing, support, review or referral text messages.

One narrow exception, which is not marketing and carries no recurring messages: if you ask us for a one-time passcode or a phone-verification code, we send that single code because you requested it at that moment.

By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Papalocal and the business(es) you have connected with through Papalocal. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

6. How to Opt Out (STOP)

You can opt out of Papalocal SMS messages at any time. Reply STOP to any text message we send you. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, after which no further text messages will be sent to that number from the businesses you opted out of, unless you opt in again.

Other valid opt-out keywords include: STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT.

7. How to Get Help (HELP)

For help, reply HELP to any Papalocal text message, or contact us directly at support@papalocal.com. You may also call eWebify, LLC at the business address listed below.

8. Re-Subscribing (START)

If you have previously opted out and wish to resume receiving messages, reply START or UNSTOP to a previous message thread from the Papalocal business, or tick the SMS consent box again on one of that business's Papalocal forms. Simply giving that business your phone number again does not resume messages.

9. Supported Carriers

Papalocal SMS is supported by major U.S. wireless carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, and most other carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

10. Privacy

Phone numbers and mobile opt-in data are never sold, shared, or transferred to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. The information you provide to a Papalocal business is used only by that business and by Papalocal to deliver the service you requested.
