SMS / Text Messaging Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms govern your participation in text-message communications from Papalocal (a product of eWebify, LLC). By providing your mobile phone number to a business that uses Papalocal — through a quote request, customer signup, contact form, account verification, or by texting an opt-in keyword to a Papalocal phone number — you agree to receive text messages as described below.

1. Program Name

2. Program Description

Papalocal provides a software platform that enables service-businesses (cleaning, lawn care, home repair, automotive, healthcare, and similar) to communicate with their customers, prospects, employees, and partners by text message. The Papalocal SMS program is used to send:

  • Appointment / visit notifications — welcome confirmations after a job is booked, "on-the-way" alerts when a technician is en route, day-before reminders, and completion notices with optional photo attachments.
  • Account & security messages — one-time passcodes, phone-number verification, and account-recovery codes.
  • Quote & invoice notifications — links to view a quote, sign an estimate, view an invoice, or make a payment.
  • Customer support & replies — two-way conversation between a customer and the business they are doing business with.
  • Referral, review, and feedback requests — requests sent after a job to ask for a review or referral, if the business has enabled that workflow.
  • Hiring & team coordination — interview scheduling, shift updates, and other workforce communications for businesses that use Papalocal's hiring tools.
  • Service & account alerts — billing notices, payment-failure dunning, and other transactional alerts related to your account or the businesses you interact with on Papalocal.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your activity and the businesses you interact with. A typical customer receives between 1 and 10 messages per month per business relationship. Account-security messages (one-time passcodes) are sent only when you request them.

4. Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard text-messaging rates from your mobile carrier apply to messages you send and receive. Papalocal does not charge you a per-message fee, but your carrier may. Check your mobile plan for details.

5. How to Opt In

You opt in to receive text messages from a business that uses Papalocal in any of the following ways:

  • Providing your phone number to a business through a Papalocal-powered quote request, appointment booking, customer-signup form, contact form, or QR-connect lead-capture form on the business's Papalocal page, where consent to receive text messages is indicated either on-screen at the time of submission or by entering your number specifically into a field labeled as a mobile / SMS number.
  • Creating a Papalocal account and providing a mobile phone number during registration or account-settings updates.
  • Replying START to a Papalocal text message after a previous opt-out, or YES in response to a confirmation prompt.
  • Verbally consenting to receive text messages when a Papalocal business takes your information by phone, in person, or by email — your verbal consent is captured by the business and recorded in their Papalocal account.

By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from the business(es) you have connected with through Papalocal. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

6. How to Opt Out (STOP)

You can opt out of Papalocal SMS messages at any time. Reply STOP to any text message we send you. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, after which no further text messages will be sent to that number from the businesses you opted out of, unless you opt in again.

Other valid opt-out keywords include: STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT.

7. How to Get Help (HELP)

For help, reply HELP to any Papalocal text message, or contact us directly at support@papalocal.com. You may also call eWebify, LLC at the business address listed below.

8. Re-Subscribing (START)

If you have previously opted out and wish to resume receiving messages, reply START or UNSTOP to a previous message thread from the Papalocal business, or re-submit your phone number to that business through Papalocal.

9. Supported Carriers

Papalocal SMS is supported by major U.S. wireless carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, and most other carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

10. Privacy

Phone numbers and mobile opt-in data are never sold, shared, or transferred to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. The information you provide to a Papalocal business is used only by that business and by Papalocal to deliver the service you requested.
